If you think I'm joking with these two soundtracks, you'd be correct. However, "Will You Be There" by Michael Jackson is amazing and when he does his little speaking part in the song...it does it for me (R.I.P. MJ). Plus, name one person who doesn't like Free Willy. You can't, because it's that inspiring.

In Godzilla's case, the movie sucks. But look at that soundtrack. You've got The Wallflowers, Jamiroquai, Ben Folds Five and Foo Fighters. Now I despise Green Day, but "Brain Stew" is tolerable (although it's sampled directly from Chicago's song "25 Or 6 To 4"). What cracks me up is that on the album it's titled "Brain Stew (The Godzilla Remix)" when really the only "remix" part of the song are the random Godzilla roars sprinkled in throughout the song. But the real treat is the Puff Daddy and Jimmy Page duo. Everyone knows I am a die-hard Zeppelin fan and I gotta tell you, this song is amazing. "Kashmir" is just a certified bad ass song and it was only a matter of time before someone rapped over it - it just unfortunately had to be P.Diddy.

By The Way, I'm about to head down to the Circle Bar downtown to see my friends in Sun Hotel play and I just started a page about local New Orleans bands so check it out on the right column.
